Hey Monica!

I just wanted to share the good news with you -Since I have been working out at ALL ABOUT BODIES FITNESS now, for the first time since high school I got in my jeans that I wore in HIGH SCHOOL this morning!! (This was even post workout and post breakfast and they are a little big!)  I'm so excited!  The diet you put me on has been the key to me doing good!

 

Before, I just came in to lose weight.  Now I'm mentally ready to start working on my body composition.  I was more focused on the scale before which I know can be misleading, and now I'm ready to ramp it up and see how much lean body weight I can gain as I reshape my body!  

And I have WAY more energy than I did a year ago, all thanks to the All About Bodies Team.  I get asked all the time what I'm doing to lose so much weight, and have even been asked if I had surgery!   Ha-ha~  I tell everyone it is just hard work and All About Bodies helping me!  I tell them what you say really does work!Thanks to you and all the trainers at ALL ABOUT BODIES FITNESS now I know I can make it happen!:)

I have been in and out of exercise over the years but have never considered myself worthy of the term 'gym rat'. I can now say that I may be getting closer to that term. I have finally found a place that I never dread going to and that I truly love, All About Bodies Fitness Center. I started with no confidence in myself and have gained so much more confidence thanks to you over the last 3-4 months. To me, having some of my self esteem back is the best reward I can get, and I gain more and more back every day!

As you know, my children are my life. Being able to love myself has given me the ability to love them fully. I am a much happier person and I can tell that they see it. Also, my marriage has gotten therapy without even asking for it! My husband and I have grown closer with me getting 'me' back. Those are the true rewards.

From the first day I met you, Christine and Rik...I felt comfortable...ya'll never let anyone feel small...you make everyone feel like they can do anything....with sincerity. Thanks to the staff at All About Bodies for making me feel at home, in a place that I have never felt at home before (a gym)!

 

 This has been such a ride for me! One of which I am so glad I started and I can't wait to continue...cause it is a long journey but my progress shows every day!

 

 I will continue my journey at All About Bodies and I know I will continue to see results and to succeed. The support system here is just what I needed to grow mentally, emotionally, and physically!

Thanks for all your help motivating us!  I have my mom and my sister working out with me as one healthy family and we love to do this together as a group!  Who says age matters?  Sheri is 27, I, Jennifer am 35, and mom, Gloria is 57, and we all exercise together at All About Bodies every week inone of their programs designed exclusively for us!  Working out as a familybrings us closer together, and allows us to motivate, and encourage each other without any barriers.  We have bonded so much more as a family and are educated on nutrition even though our individual needs are different, but our trainer manages to transition us to our proper weights and needs as we all get our butt kicked.     This is such a terrific way to spend quality time together and although we have always been close, we truly look forward to our hour of training together.   ALL ABOUT BODIES FITNESS treats you as one of their family members, so it was an easy decision for us to choose them as our workout facility. We are part of one big healthy family here and they truly care about our success and well being.   A special Thank You to Monica and all the other trainers for all their extra time, andtips they generously share with us!

I live a busy lifestyle but who doesn’t.  My job is very busy and it got to the point where I was traveling at least 2 days per week taking me to all parts of the country. This limited not only my time to exercise but also my willingness as I was always feeling tired and sluggish with no energy to exercise.  
Because of family history I have been on medication for the last 15 years and my cholesterol level was always border-line high. My doctor has been wanting to see my cholesterol levels lowered but without much success. I have always eaten "right" and watched my intake of high fats and sugars.
 About four months ago, in November 2008 my wife joined All About Bodies. She pushed me to come and try the facility for a week. Within 2 visits I made up my mind that I was going to join a gym for the first time in my life. Since joining in November I have made a commitment to myself that this was going to be a new way of life for me. 
With both your help and Rick's, I have lost alot of inches. I am getting into pants that I haven't worn in many years. My weight is slowly coming off and I will be down below 200 lbs within the next 4 weeks. I haven't been under 200 lbs for 20 years. 
Now the fantastic news! I visited my doctor shortly before joining All About Bodies and my cholesterol level was 212 points. Two weeks ago I went back to the doctor and my cholesterol level dropped 70 points. My eating habits remain pretty much the same except for me eating more protein. “I owe all of this to both my wife and All About Bodies for changing my life!!”   I feel great and look forward everyday to me transforming my life and health by doing both cardio and weights.

Six months ago, I began regularly exercising for the first time in my life at this very friendly place ALL ABOUT BODIES FITNESS. They also taught me a combination of healthier eating habits, I started to lose some of the weight that I had put on over the past twenty years, a little every week. With each month that has passed, I have felt increasingly better about myself and my health.  They make it so fun and comfortable here that I now look forward to my workouts and enjoy the time I spend in the gym. I feel highly supported and encouraged by the staff and Rik and Monica, who have worked closely with me throughout this process. As I continue working toward my goal, ALL ABOUT BODIES has given me the education and I know that I am gathering the tools needed to sustain an ongoing healthy lifestyle.

I want to give you an update on my progress. Since we joined your fitness center just four weeks ago, I have lost 17 pounds! Equally important is how much better I feel! Everyday tasks are easier; working in the yard is easier; working out is easier! I sleep better and feel better about myself. The nutrition information that Monica gave us is a Godsend! We had no idea how much "junk" is out there in the food industry. We thought we were eating "healthy," but really did not understand the interplay of a proper diet and exercise. No one likes "dieting," but this program is really more about "lifestyle" change and a new way to look at your food intake then a “diet”.  It has not been hard to follow, kind of easy actually, and I have really seen tremendous results fast!


We enjoy going to the fitness center as a family and are able to support one another and keep each other on track. This experience has been great for all of us! I have had typical "gym" memberships in the past, but received little instruction on the equipment and nothing about nutrition. I was very impressed by the process when we first signed up at your facility.  Before we started anything you started by  taking our measurements and body fat percentage before we started so we would have a starting point and  could gauge our progress on a monthly basis. You and your staff have been so helpful and motivating. Monica, Rick, Nelson and Monty have all taken an interest in our progress, are very helpful and truly happy to see our improving results!

I really enjoy working out and seeing results. Since we joined the fitness center just a few weeks ago I have lost six pounds! I was so "out of shape" that it has taken me some time to work into my routine, but I am doing better. It's great to have the family involved because I can stay motivated about making the right food choices, since we all as a family are eating better and exercising together.  This is the first time I have ever seen results in any fitness center or with any program and I look forward to more progress in the coming weeks. Everyone there has been so nice and is really helpful!

What started out as a phone call to you regarding personal training for my son has turned out to be a Godsend for the whole family, including my 78 year old Mom.  I am so thankful you talked to us about the whole family about joining to get healthy and slim for life.  Over the past few years, I THOUGHT I was dieting and exercising, but the results were always so dismal after 4 weeks that I just gave up.  After learning from you, Rick and Monica how our bodies process the foods we eat,  and how building muscle will burn fat, NOW I GET IT!!  It has been a revelation.  I always watched the carbs but I never understood the relationship between calories and fat, and how that plays a really critical role in metabolism. 

I am embarrassed at how weak and old I felt at the age of 51 before starting at your gym.  In the first 4 weeks I have lost 9 pounds, real inches and become so much stronger.    I can see muscle tone starting to develop, my clothes are fitting better, I sleep like a rock and have so much more strength and stamina.  It is really satisfying to go to the gym and increase my workout weights and speed as I get stronger.  I would say that I feel like 45 years old at this point.  My goal is to feel and weigh in like I did when I was 35 years old.

The last four weeks have yielded astounding results for me. I have lost 15 pounds since I started and have increased my strength tremendously. The nutritional guidance and training sessions have already made a huge impact on my mind and body. I feel like I have more energy during the day and a more positive attitude. One of the best things for me was boot camp. It pushes me to the limit every time I go and its fun. This has truly been a lifestyle change for me that will continue for the rest of my life!  Wow, in just four short weeks you have changed my life in ways I never thought possible.  I wish I would have come to ALL ABOUT BODIES FITNESS earlier for these lifestyle changes are priceless!

Hi, my name is Evan and I am 11yrs old. I have been training with Team Payam trainers at All About Bodies Fitness Center for about six months now, and I want to tell you about my results.

By training with Team Payam Trainers at All About Bodies, I have been able to last longer in both my basketball and baseball games.  I had the best basketball season ever, scoring more points and getting more rebounds then anyone else on my team!!   My baseball foot work has improved a lot, I have better timing and I am hitting the ball just about every time I am up to bat!!  Not to mention that I am hitting the ball much further and harder!  I am faster running, jumping and feel stronger too!    I enjoy the trainers at All About Bodies because they make the workouts fun and they are motivating!  I believe what they have taught me will help me throughout my life time, not only to be a better athlete, but also to eat better.  They have taught me the right types of protein to eat and when I should be eating them.  Why fried foods and fast foods will only slow me down and prevent me from being fast and muscular.  By listening to them, I have lost 16 pounds of fat, put on muscle, and improved my speed and ability to jump.  I just feel better and more confident in my abilities to play with the other kids!   I would like to always be able to train with Team Payam trainers at All About Bodies, they have made a difference to me and they keep teaching me new stuff that I know will make me better as I get older and enter high school!  Thanks for making me tuff!

I went to the class on Friday and it was great.  Nelson keeps it fun and motivating.  I have been Kickboxing for 3 years at Knuckle up Fitness and never had that much fun.  Thanks!

"If anyone told me I would be on a fitness center website talking about physical fitness in my lifetime, I would have told them they were crazy! That is how much my life is changing! I am 52 years young and I can honestly say I don’t feel it!

 

All of our lives are a work in progress and I am so grateful I found All About Bodies to be on the journey with me.  Physical fitness had never been a part of my vocabulary until recently.  I am just beginning to prioritize it into my life.  It took me several months to get this behavior into my head but I never would have been able to do it without everyone here.  All About Bodies is different!  They are the reason for my success thus far.  I have tried other centers in the area but never get the personal attention I receive here.  Here they  go the extra mile to keep me on track and never have given up on me even when I have given up on myself.  I am not one of those self motivating types but I am learning now how to be – everything from nutrition to a positive attitude.  There is definitely a mind/body connection in all of is and this is finally the season to make that connection!

 

I promise you – if you can put one foot in the front of the other, the staff here will lead you the rest of the way!  As I said, I am “in progress” and have a ways to go but I am assured I am not alone.  Payam should consider changing the centers name to All About “Your” Body as that is how personal this experience is to me! My story begins with senior status at this point in my life.  The latter part of 2006 I came to realize my health was going downhill when In November my doctor spoke to me about going on insulin shots for my diabetes of about 6 years.  This was because my medication was not working as well for me any longer.

To make a long story short, I knew I had to do something to turn this situation around.  My family history of eating improperly and not enough rest and little to no exercise had finally gotten the best of me in affecting my future.

On January 20, 2007 I made an appointment with Rik for an evaluation and to talk about what plan of action I could take to reverse the decline of my health.  I’ll never forget Rik saying to me, “I can teach you a lot, but it is up to you to stay consistent and do the work.”  This is so true!  Well, that first few weeks I thought to myself, what have I gotten myself into?! This is killing me! It made me aware of how much muscle mass I have lost over the years and how weak my body had become.  I couldn’t believe it!

Here we are at the end of April 2007 when I revisited my doctor, had new blood work done and had my blood glucose tested.  My blood glucose levels had dropped 2 ½ points and all of my other numbers has improved also!! She took me off one of my blood pressure medications and has reduced my diabetes medication!

I am so excited! I finally have hope that I can reach my goals of getting off all of my medication and completely getting my health back to better than it has been in years!  Al I’ve done is change my eating habits to a more healthier way of life and my exercise program.  I would like to say thank you to Rik and all the staff at All About Bodies for being a wonderful support group and great trainers!

My name is Vernon Richards and I am 72 years old. My weight is 195lbs and I am 6’1.  I first joined an organized fitness center 50 years ago and have worked out regularly since that time.  I worked in management for a national corporation and traveled from time to time.  I would find a fitness center near where I was staying and work out while I was traveling.  I did this because obesity and diabetes ran in my family history.  I suppose I have been in and worked out in at least 50 different gyms over the years.  After retirement, my wife and I began full time RV travel for 6 years and I was always able to find a gym nearby so I could continue my workouts.  We decided that due to advanced age and some health problems for my wife, that we would move back into our old home in Woodstock.  At this time I began working out in a gym that I had previously been a member of.  The driving distance to the gym was significant and at that time my wife joined All About Bodies which is very near our new home.  She continued to invite me to go to the gym with her, which I did.  When I arrived at this gym, I was very pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the facility, the knowledge and professionalism of the staff, and the upkeep of the equipment.  So I decided that when my membership expired at my old club I would join All About Bodies, which I did.  It is without a doubt the most enjoyable gym I have ever been to.

 

I believe physical fitness will reduce health costs to individuals.  I know that being physically fit has made a significant difference in the quality of my life.  I can testify that is continues to improve the quality of my life as I advance in age and I can continue to work out regularly.  I suggest that anyone interested in improving their physical fitness should visit All About Bodies Fitness Center!!

     "Mirror, mirror on the wall, who in the heck is that frumpy, sad, middle aged woman staring back at me?"  With a serious milestone birthday approaching and that scary mirror image burned into my brain, a nagging concern to be healthy emerged and urged me to check into the possibility of hiring a personal trainer. 

            It was one year ago this month that I stepped through the doors of All About Bodies. There I found supportive, personable trainers who really know their stuff and genuinely care about their clients' personal goals.  So, I hired a professional trainer to kick my butt and in conjunction with that they also monitored my nutrition and they even gave me an eating plan! Oh, don't forget monthly check ups and body fat testings!!

    Through the year as I conditioned my body, my stress levels reduced, my energy levels increased, and I learned how to enjoy the best foods.  The unexpected bonus I gained from getting in shape was the way my confidence grew.  All my sweat, sore muscles and, yes, tears with Monica, Payam, Ivan, Rick and Laura has paid off royally and is worth every penny.   I am experiencing new heights in my job.  I took up belly dancing and it’s a blast! I have lots of new friends and a new size 10 wardrobe.  To top it off, both my daughters, having watched my life’s transformation, have caught the fitness bug!  There is only one person left in our family to infect.  "Honey, are you looking for the remote?"

Okay, tis is my story and I am sticking to it..
     Getting heavy was easy, but returning to slim and trim a lot more difficult.  It happened to me in a 10 year time frame between the ages of 44 and 54.  I put on about 75 pounds!!  Before that I was an avid runner and in good health.  I said to myself, how could I let this happen?
     I started in September 2005 after some advice from my doctor.  I just gained another few pounds and weighed in at a whopping 262 pounds!! The doctor suggested I start an exercise routine and to read a book called Sugar Busters.  I read it and was amazed at what eating certain foods does to you, especially processed sugar.  I decided on a lifestyle change.  No processed sugar, no refined flour and no white potatoes.  The thing about these items is they turn immediately into glucose and stored in the body as fat!  So, I guess you could say proper nutrition is a BIG part of your weight loss routine! I ate well balanced meals and cleaned up my nutrition immensely!
     I decided it was time to start working out.  So, I joined All About Bodies Fitness Center.  Monica, Rik and the staff there are all excellent at what they do!! They all helped me get into proper fitness again.  They are very passionate about their work and very compassionate and have complete and total respect for you even if you first come in heavy.  They can truly teach you how to enjoy exercise, fitness and proper nutrition! They also make it fun. They are positive and full of encouraging words! They will evaluate your condition, look at what you eat, correct your nutrition program, suggest healthy lifestyle changes and help you build a life long healthy fitness program exclusively customized towards your needs. 
     I started working out slowly and now get to All About Bodies Fitness Cetner 5 days a week for about 1 1/2 hours each time.  But, of course I built up to this over a period of time and now truly enjoy this time especially for me and my health!  I do this first thing in the morning for Monica opens the place up at 4:30am every morning!!  I train with Monica once a week where she helps me with my weight training routine and pushes me to out perform myself every time!  She also sets my cardiovascular routine up and monitors me monthly.  We do cardio testing once a month, and check my bodyfat levels.  I am now healthier and stronger.  As a result, I have gone from a 44 waist size in pants to a 32!! I have almost no love handles and in 9 months am now a slim and trim 190 pounds! I have dropped over 75 pounds of fat!!
    So, all I have to say to you is if you want to see results there is only one place for you to go... YES, come in and see how All About Bodies Fitness and Monica can help--You will change your life ans save your life! "You" will never regret it!!!
